Updated: Sep 23, 2021
The daily practice of gratitude has proven to be of great value. Cultivating the daily practice of gratitude can help you reduce your anxiety levels by recognizing the Light in your life.
This is a very simple meditation that cultivates gratitude. Also known as the "God's Gift" meditation, it helps you get into the flow of giving and receiving. Therefore, this meditation is excellent for those who have trouble receiving. It helps us to remember that everything is a gift from the Divine.
Here and now, what are you grateful for?
Instruction GURPRASAD MEDITATION
Time: It is suggested to start with 3 to 11 minutes and extend up to 31 minutes.
Posture: Sit in an easy pose with your spine straight. Place your hands together with palms facing upwards and hold this mudra at the heart center. The arms and elbows should be pressed comfortably against the rib cage (thus stimulating the meridian points that will lead to relaxation).
Eyes: Start with your eyes one-tenth open, but allow them to close during the meditation.
Breathing: Breathe naturally, but with intention. Allow yourself to experience the abundant flow of the universe. Imagine yourself being surrounded by unlimited blessings. Believe in the power of gratitude, and begin to feel the palpable energy that is contained in your hands.
In your hands - and in your breath and spirit - is the universal divine power of giving and receiving.
