WHAT IS SEVA?
SEVA is an act of serving the other, for the common good, with no expectation of recognition or return of any nature.
By serving we put compassion, devotion and surrender to the unknown into practice, seeking the welfare of all living beings.
SEVA contributes greatly to our spiritual maturity.
KRISHAN SHIVA SINGH
To me, seva is love. It is giving that piece of your heart to the other person, giving it selflessly.
KIRET NAM KAUR
Seva is a great opening of the heart. Something you feel like doing, simply out of love, out of generosity.
JAP MANT KAUR
Every positive thought is a musical note. Seva is a positive thought that materializes in an act of love. And this is the purest musical note that we humans have. Love. Seva is to give love and to know how to receive it. To give what we have. Not what we have left.
CONSELHO DE ADMINISTRAÇÃO
Seva is a commitment to service. Whatever happens, I will be there engaged with that work, with that community, to those people.
JIWAN PREET SINGH
Seva is an action of reaching out to others, wherever they are, by giving a little bit of myself. Seva is of great importance for us to leave a legacy of more sensitive and cooperative human beings, as well as hope and upliftment.
In my opinion, Seva is an opportunity to see and act beyond myself, beyond my private world and my problems, it is the precious opportunity to become aware of the pain or the need of another and to give the best of myself to help transform it.
For me, Seva has a lot to do with justice, because when you put yourself in service, you see results, even if they are small. It is something I have to do: I am here in the world and what can I do to transform unworthy environments?
